On Feb. 2016, Linzhou Changda Railway Material Co., Ltd. (CDR) won in the tender to supply all the fishplates to the Mombasa-Nairobi section of the standard gauge railway which is an important project of The One Road One Belt initiative by China.
The Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway is a standard-gauge railway (SGR) that connects Kenya's port city of Mombasa to Nairobi, the nation's capital.
